Hammer head Tractor Grapple Saw

The Hammer Head GSR-55 Grapple Saw combines a hydraulic grapple and chainsaw to grab, cut, and handle trees, logs, and other woody material from the machine cab. It is suited for land clearing, storm cleanup, logging, sawmill yards, trail clearing, and cutting firewood

The GSR-55 has a 55-inch maximum grapple opening and can cut logs up to approximately 24 inches in diameter. Its continuous 360-degree rotation allows the operator to position the grapple saw for cutting and material handling.

The GSR-55 requires a minimum of approximately 15.5 GPM hydraulic flow and 2,850 PSI hydraulic pressure for proper operation. It also requires a third hydraulic connection for the case drain, so the host machine should be checked for these requirements before purchase.

The GSR-55 is designed for 6–10 ton excavators, log loaders, forwarders, skid steers, and tractors, with the appropriate mounting and hydraulic configuration. Optional standard and heavy-duty skid steer booms are also available for compatible skid steer applications.

The grapple saw and rotator weigh approximately 850 lbs, while the complete setup with a skid steer boom weighs approximately 1,250 lbs. When selecting the attachment, verify that your machine has sufficient lifting capacity for the complete configuration.

The GSR-55 features a continuous 360-degree hydraulic rotator, piston saw motor, automatic saw oiling, .404/Harvester saw chain, high-strength steel construction, and Stucchi connect-under-pressure hydraulic couplers. Operators can control the attachment through compatible machine electronics or in-cab controls, depending on the setup.
