DESCRIPTION
The SkyScan Lightning/Storm Detector Model SS-P5 is an advanced storm tracking solution designed to ensure safety during outdoor activities. Equipped with patented dual antenna technology and a digital microprocessor, this device offers precise detection of lightning up to 40 miles away, delivering both audible and visual alerts for real-time storm tracking.
With just a push of a button, users can monitor the approach of storms using the four LED distance indicators (measured in miles) and audible tones. The Severe Storm Warning System activates a continuous alarm and illuminates the Severe Storm LED when strong thunderstorms or squall lines are detected, repeating every 15 minutes until the danger has passed.
Designed for portability, the SkyScan is encased in a rugged, weather-resistant shell, ensuring reliable performance in outdoor conditions. The device also features a range selector for tailored alerts and a battery save function to optimize power usage.
