Winchester's L44 Legacy 44 Gun Safe is designed for those that have up to 51 long guns they need to protect and want both burglar and fire protection. This gun safe has an amazing and extra-long 2.50-hour fire rating, tested at outside temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The double-layer Palusol Heat expanding door seal expands to over 6 times its size when subjected to heat which creates a barrier against heat and smoke. There is UL-rated fireboard protection in the ceiling, walls, and door. Winchester includes a Lifetime-Free Replacement Guarantee in the event of a fire.
The burglar protection on the Winchester L44 Legacy 44 Gun Safe is just as good as the fire protection. It is UL listed for burglary protection RSC rated. This stands for Residential Security Container. Plus it exceeds the California Department of Justice requirements. This is due to the solid 10 gauge body formed with robotic continuous welds. Plus a 1/4 heat-treated steel outer plate in the door, auxiliary re-locker, pry-resistant recessed door, reinforced return door jamb, titanium disk, and the 3-way boltwork. There are a total of 16 steel locking bolts, 2" in diameter each. A total of 11 are active bolts including top/bottom locking bolts plus 5 deadbolts for pry resistance. Winchester includes pre-drilled anchor holes to bolt down the safe to prevent tipping for pry leverage or removal of the safe by thieves. Plus included is a Lifetime Free Replacement Guarantee in the event of a burglary attack.
The Winchester L44 Legacy 44 Gun Safe has two durable powder-coated finishes. A black or gunmetal gray finish. A 5-spoke handle black chrome vault handle is standard on the door. The inside is an upgraded welted pindot interior. Winchester includes a bright white motion-sensing LED light kit. A power docking system provides (2) 110V outlets and (2) USB pass-throughs. The door on the Winchester L44 Legacy 44 Gun Safe is secured by either a Dial Combination Lock or an S&G EMP Electronic Lock. This safe has up to a 51 long gun capacity for storage or rifles.
