Tractor PTO Generator

A PTO generator uses a tractor's power take-off (PTO) to generate electricity. It can provide backup or temporary power for farms, workshops, agricultural equipment, buildings, and other applications where a suitable tractor is available.

Our collection includes a wide range of generator capacities, from approximately 7 kW to 113 kW, as well as IMD LLC models ranging from 10 KVA to 31 KVA. The right size depends on your electrical load and tractor capabilities.

Consider your tractor's PTO horsepower, PTO speed, generator capacity, voltage, phase, and the electrical load you need to operate. The generator must be properly matched to the tractor and intended application. Check the manufacturer's specifications before purchasing.

Many of the IMD LLC PTO generators in this collection provide 120/240V single-phase power. However, voltage and electrical configuration vary by model, so always verify the specifications of the particular generator before ordering.

AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) helps maintain a more consistent output voltage as the electrical load changes. Brushless generators use a brushless design that can reduce maintenance associated with traditional brushes. The best option depends on your application and power requirements.

Yes. PTO generators can be an effective backup power solution when connected to a properly sized tractor. For connection to a building or electrical system, installation should be performed using appropriate transfer equipment and by a qualified electrician to ensure safe operation and prevent backfeeding.
