DESCRIPTION

TRACK HORIZONTAL GRINDER The Beast® Model 2460XP track outperforms all other grinders in its size class. Equipped with a 60” wide by 30” diameter cuttermill and a 24" high x 60" wide mill opening, it uses a 30-tooth cuttermill running Bandit’s saw-tooth style cutterbodies to regulate the size of the tooth’s bite. Most of the material is sized in the initial cut, allowing it to exit the large screening area quicker.

The standard engine is a Caterpillar C13B with 536 horsepower, and a wide variety of tooth and screen options are available to process and size material adequately. The Caterpillar 320BL steel track undercarriage is standard, and all track and grinding functions are controlled via a wireless radio remote control with tether back-up.

A secondary and primary discharge allows material to exit the grinding chamber quickly and features a magnetic head pulley for separating nails from the mulch pile. The 11' 8" long x 60" infeed with a double slat design track style infeed conveyor provides ample room for feeding a wide variety of material. A 20" diameter feed wheel further assists in pulling material into the mill.

TOWABLE HORIZONTAL GRINDER The Beast® Model 2460XP is also available in a towable version, equipped similarly with a 60” wide by 30” diameter cuttermill and a 24" high x 60" wide mill opening. The machine uses a 30-tooth cuttermill with Bandit’s saw-tooth style cutterbodies, ensuring most of the material is sized in the initial cut.

This version is powered by a Caterpillar C13B, 536 horsepower engine. A wide variety of tooth and screen options are available to ensure material is processed and sized adequately. The standard height adjustable discharge and magnetic head pulley separate nails from the mulch pile efficiently. The 14' 8" long x 60" infeed with a double slat design track style infeed conveyor provides ample room for feeding a wide variety of material, with all grinding functions controlled via a wireless radio remote control with tether back-up.
