DESCRIPTION
Discover the Turbo Turf HS-300-E8, an exceptional 300-gallon hydroseeder designed for efficiency and affordability. Powered by a robust 8 H.P. Honda engine coupled to a 3" x 3" pump, this unit is engineered to mix a thick slurry quickly and effectively. Its oval tank facilitates rapid mixing, while the large 16" opening simplifies loading for seamless operation. Ideal for achieving sod-quality lawns in a short time, the HS-300-E8 is built for high performance and precise seeding.
PUMP
This unit used a 3″ x 3″ centrifugal pump with an output of –333 gallons a minute of flow and 36 P.S.I. of pressure. This pump has provided excellent performance and durability. The housing material is cast aluminum and it is easy to service and maintain. There are no grease fittings and the only maintenance required is to winterize if at the end of the season if it is stored where temperatures go below freezing. The pump impeller mounds on the end of the engine shaft so there is no power loss. Typically it can operate for 5 to 10 years with no maintenance. The only thing to be careful of is to not run it dry.
ENGINE
This unit comes with an 8 H.P. Honda recoil start engine. This has proved to be a very reliable engine with a long life. The engine has a two year warranty and service for the engine is available .
HOSE
This unit comes standard with 100 ft of 1 1/4″ I. D. hose. The hose we use is both strong and light weight. It is made from a poly material with a spiral reinforcement. Additional hose is available in 50 foot sections. The unit will handle up to 150 feet of hose.
OPERATION
This unit is easy to run. There are only two valves on the unit. The main mixing valve is opened fully when mixing and closed to a 45 degree angle in which case it is half open and half closed. This provides some mixing action but gives added spray power. There is also a valve going to the discharge hose. This is always fully open when spraying but can be closed to disconnect the discharge hose. The discharge hose is connected with a quick coupler. Should you need to go someplace to get water the hose can quickly be disconnected so when you have a new load mixed up you can connect the hose and start spraying right where you left off. It eliminates the need to wrap up the hose before you are finished.
TRANSPORT
The HS-300 is a skid type unit that can be operated from a small trailer, from the back of a pickup truck from the back of a utility vehicle and any other means of transporting the unit. It is available as a pull type unit which is DOT compliant with brakes on both axles and highway legal.
