The Ripping It Outdoors 5ft. Spike Aerator is built to optimize soil health by improving nutrient absorption, reducing compaction, and enhancing overseeding success. Its compact size makes it ideal for small fields, food plots, and general land management while delivering professional-grade performance.
Constructed with a 10 ¾” thick-wall drum and 4.5” x 2” solid steel spikes (3/8” thick), this aerator is designed to penetrate the soil efficiently and create optimal conditions for plant growth. The water-fillable drum allows you to adjust the weight for better penetration, ranging from 85 lbs/ft dry to 120 lbs/ft wet.
With a 1 ¾” solid steel axle, quality greaseable bearings, and a robust 2 ½” angle iron frame, this spike aerator is engineered for durability and reliable operation. Choose between a 3-point hitch or pull-tongue configuration to fit your equipment and ensure ease of use.
Commercial-Grade Residential Spike-Aerators are built with 1 3/4" solid steel axle and quality grease-able bearings. The frames are made from 2 ½” angle iron that is 3/8” thick. Extra cross-bracing and laser-cut bearing plates ensure smooth operation and durability. Available with the travel options listed below.
Riding on a solid 1 ¾” axle & supported by two quality bearings, the 19” spike-drum has a plug to permit adding/removing water for added weight – increasing the dry weight from appx 85lbs per foot, to appx 120lbs per ft when filled.
Designed to punch 4.5” x 2” holes to maximize effectiveness. The 4.5” long solid spikes are 3/8” thick and mounted to a thick-wall 10 ¾ inch drum & a 1 ¾” to provide max weight & durability. Available as pull-tongue and/or 3-pt hitch or front-end loader QA.
HD Commercial Grade Spike-Aerators is built on a 3/8” thick, 16” diameter drum. The 2" solid steel axle is supported by quality grease-able bearings. Depending on size, the frame may be built with 3x5, 4x6, or 6x8” rectangular tubing with cross-bracing and gusset supports as necessary to ensure exceptional strength, smooth operation, and durability.
The 27” spike-drum has a plug to permit adding/removing water for added weight – increasing the dry weight from appx 130lbs per foot to appx 175lbs per ft when filled.
Designed to punch 4.5” x 2” holes to maximize effectiveness. The 4.5” long solid spikes are 1/2” thick. Available as a pull-tongue, 3pt hitch, or frontend loader QA. Available with manual-lift or hydraulic travel systems.
For travel, you can choose 3-pt hitch, pull-tongue, flip-over, manual-lift, or
hydraulic travel systems - or most any combination.
Flip-over models are available in sizes of 3-10’ with 12" wheels/tires.
* The flip-over option gives you great flexibility at a reasonable price. But these things weigh appx 100lbs per foot. Flipping over an 800-1000 cultipacker is difficult. If you opt for a flip-over, I recommend you block both wheels & use a chain or strap to flip. Just let it free-fall and then hook back up. A good alternative for larger units is a manual lift.
Manual-lift models are available in sizes of 3-12' with 12" wheels/tires.
The manual-lift travel system costs less than hydraulics and eliminates the need to disconnect or flip your unit to travel the heavy-duty jack to make lifting easier & quicker.
Hydraulic-lift models are available in any size with 14/15" wheels/tires, new hoses & quick connects. Everything you need to hit the field.

I've started using the mulcher I on several parcels of land 10 acres . I have grind down a couple of 14 inch stumps. Caution the mount bracket behind the mulcher motor exhaust gets extremely hot even with gloves on . But the unit so far seems to works very good it's well put together.

The Firminator G3 is s heavy duty quality machine. The discs worked extremely well and planting and culti-packing is very smooth and easy. Working with Dillon at Ripping It Outdoors was a very good experience and seamless transaction.
Product was fairly priced and they delivered it quickly.

The week before leaving for my mule deer hunt in Wyoming, I seeded the area surrounding the new runway at Wertheimer Airport in Norman. This past Tuesday, I returned to finish the job and was pleased to see that the seed I planted just two weeks earlier was already germinating and coming up nicely. These pictures show the freshly seeded areas alongside those planted two weeks ago. It’s a great comparison and a good example of what proper seedbed preparation and planting can accomplish. I used my Ferminator G-3, which is one impressive piece of equipment. It prepares the seedbed, plants the seed, smooths the soil, and firms everything up for good seed-to-soil contact—all in one efficient operation. I’ve owned and operated several no-till drills over the years, but I can say without hesitation that the Ferminator is the most efficient and versatile seeding machine I’ve ever owned. There’s something pretty satisfying about returning to a job and seeing those first green shoots coming through the ground. That’s when you know your hard work is paying off!

Just got my Buffalo Turbine! Love it. Took a little bit to get used to getting the right angle for the nozzle, but not a problem. Side note, works much better if the frame is level as much as possible. Love it! Gary Haddock
Seems to be in order delivery wasn't able to use lift gate but tractor was able to take pallet off the truck bed. No damage to machine after visual check. won't know how it runs until rain stops. Staff at RippingitOutdoors was very quick to call and double check the type of backet needed for the unit to ensure the online order matched( to fit my skid steer quick attachment on my l2501 Kubota). Explained the teeth & belt could be ordered through them directly over the phone when/if needed as well as selling other types of custom made brackets for Utv's ect. All around Great customer service and would purchase from again.

After spending way to much money for forest mulching services I discovered this wonderful machine. It's not a giant powerhouse forest mulcher, but it does everything a property owner needs to maintain a forested property. I wish I would have found it sooner.

The Firminator is well built and functions well. I am having some trouble while planting mixed size seeds. Next time out I’ll try setting it so only the smaller seeds drop out the open it up for the larger seeds.
easy buying process and great communication. Mulcher works great, easily clears overgrown brush and even mulched a 5" thick mulberry tree fairly easily. running it off of my old 331 bobcat with no problem powering the drum at all. Only small issue which isn't a big deal is that the supplied hoses are about 16" too short to operate a full range of motion.
The Firmanator works great very well built .I am very happy I made this purchase.

Over all built well. I like it is all cast iron and metal and not plastic. Had to modify fertilizer disc mount to fit correctly, nothing major, a little grinding. I modified the center link hitch point to accommodate my John Deere quick hitch. Have yet to plant with it but I’m sure it will work perfect. Love the grease fittings everywhere. Reminds me of the old farm equipment I grew up on, and still use periodically.
My firminator RT was delivered in good condition in ND. I will be using it next week. I have a 45 HP John Deere tractor that is supposed to lift 2000 lb but really struggles to lift this 6 foot firminator RT. I will just have to use in as a two pass operation for now. I do wish there was a better operating manual for this unit. Maybe that is something you can work on. I will give you an update once I start using it in a few days.
Great piece of equipment. Performs far better than I expected. One piece of advice - if property is significantly overgrown, consider the tractor attachment first to bring down the over growth and then switch to the UTV attachment to maintain property. No complaints worked perfectly.
Ordered a 36” clean out bucket for my mini excavator. Love it, welds are great. Works as it should.
Showed up on time and I will be using it to put in 15 acres of food plots in this weekend!

seeds come out way to fast at lowest setting when planting alfalfa literally the only reason I bought it now I can't even use it and I can't return it so I'm stuck with it for the price you pay you would think it would work!
It’s built solid. It handles Field grass hip high pretty well. With the maintaining the field grass after the first cut, the pasture field is starting to look like a lawn. The 84 inch with the best thing to get for 8 acres. It’s best to order belts for back up in the event if the belts were to break. But overall, I like the product quality is good.

Definitely a better unit than you can find locally. I've ran several spreaders. This is by far the best.
When I think of ripping it outdoors something else comes to mind, but I digress. This spreader is awesome. Works like a champ. The hopper is big enough to do my 1 acre lot for my applications. Just load once and go. I would highly recommend this spreader. It saves a ton of time and is a quality product.
