DESCRIPTION

Ducted Fume Hoods (exhaust hoods), manufactured by Advanced Extraction Labs, offer maximum protection to operators as well as the application by removing harmful particulates and fumes that could be released. Our Ducted Exhaust Hoods are constructed from Heavy duty and polycarbonates and are resistant to many chemicals and solvents. An effective engineering control for enclosing a work area that uses hazardous chemicals, solvents, powders, or other volatile organic.

AEL Ductless fume hoods are the perfect choice for your testing lab, sample lab, and any pharmaceutical application! Made with heavy duty materials, these fume hoods are the perfect addition to your lab! Optional storage cabinets below means easy access to any samples, parts, or data sheets! Call us for a customized size or to check out our standard sizes!

This model is not a C1D1 booth, focusing instead on versatile fume extraction and filtration for less volatile applications. A choice of power configurations (120V or 220V) makes it compatible with various setups. Contact us for custom sizing or to explore our standard dimensions.

What are fume hoods for?

A fume hood is a contained workspace with ventilation designed to capture, confine, and expel harmful fumes, vapors, and particles produced during procedures conducted within it.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) oversees several responsibilities regarding fume hoods:
Offering technical assistance in selecting appropriate fume hoods or other engineering controls for handling hazardous substances in research laboratories.
  • Granting approval for the use of specific hazardous substances within a fume hood, including:
    • Radioactive material
    • Perchloric acid (requiring a specialized fume hood approved by EHS)
  • Certifying fume hoods and maintaining certification documentation.
  • Drafting guidance materials outlining proper usage protocols.
