The Bush-Whacker MD-180 Flex-Wing Brush Cutter stands out as one of the sturdiest medium-duty cutters on the market. Featuring a smooth-top design and deck rings included as standard equipment, this cutter delivers excellent performance and reliability at a great value. Perfect for mowing grass and weeds up to 3" in diameter, it combines durability, efficiency, and ease of use.

• Robust Gearboxes: Three spindle gearboxes with 120 HP capacity (540 or 1,000 RPM, 1:1.46 ratio). Divider gearbox with 160 HP capacity for efficient power distribution. Built with malleable housings, forged alloy steel gears, and carburized shafts for durability.
• Reliable Drive Shafts: Shielded PTOs crafted from high-quality propeller shaft materials with needle-bearing universal joints. Includes Category 6 80-degree constant velocity main drive shaft and Series 8 Category 6 wing drive shafts.
• Slip Clutch System: Three heavy-duty clutches with spring-type adjustment and two friction discs for smooth and consistent operation.
• Precision Blades: 1/2" x 4" alloy spring steel blades with airlift design and an 8-inch overlap. Free-swinging blades handle obstructions with ease, offering a blade tip speed of 15,500 FPM.
• Durable Tires: Six solid rubber tires standard with independent shock-absorbing systems for all-wheel axles. Optional tires include: 25" treaded laminate, used aircraft, or foam-filled aircraft tires.
• Smooth Deck Design: 10-gauge steel top deck ensures durability and easy cleaning. Structural frame made from 3" channel with a 1/4" thickness.
• Hydraulic Wing Adjustments: Hydraulic lift cylinders allow flexible wings to adjust up to 88° above and 22° below the horizontal cutting plane. Optional manual wing lift or rephasing level lift systems for added versatility.
