Seed Size and Rate Calibration |
To ensure the proper use of your RTP Outdoors Ground-Breaker Seeder, gate opening and rate calibration is necessary before every use. Seed sizes & blends vary from year to year and among brands of seed, meaning the calibration settings will always change. The settings presented in the SEED SETTING CHART are given as a starting point and are not intended to be used in lieu of the calibration process. |

Find a Box or Tray |
You will need to find a box or tray that will fit across the width of the seeding elements to catch all of the seed falling from the machine during the calibration process. You will want to mount the box or tray as close to the bottom of the seeding element openings as possible to help you not lose any seed. |

Fill the Seed Box |
Open the lid of the seed box and put in your seed of choice. Make sure you fill every seed cup with enough seed for the calibration. If one of the seed cups runs out of seed during this process, the calibration will be inaccurate. Always check the seed cups before and after the calibration. |

Adjust the Gate Opening |
Using the SEED SETTING CHART to get your base setting for the seed you will be planting. On the right side of the Ground-Breaker, you will adjust the Gate Opening number from 0 - 3 by loosening the knob, moving the bar to the correct number, and tightening back the knob. |

Adjust the Variable Clutch System |
On the left side of the machine is the Variable Clutch System that controls the rate. To adjust this setting, loosen the 2 knobs on the top of the clutch system box and then rotate the larger knob on the side of the box until you are lined up on the desired number. Tighten the 2 knobs on top to lock in your setting. |

Spin the Cultipack Roller |
Slowly spin the cultipack roller toward the front of the machine until you start to hear seed dumping into your seed catching device. Now spin the cultipack roller forward 13 times, using your tape or marking as a position reference. |

I've started using the mulcher I on several parcels of land 10 acres . I have grind down a couple of 14 inch stumps. Caution the mount bracket behind the mulcher motor exhaust gets extremely hot even with gloves on . But the unit so far seems to works very good it's well put together.

The Firminator G3 is s heavy duty quality machine. The discs worked extremely well and planting and culti-packing is very smooth and easy. Working with Dillon at Ripping It Outdoors was a very good experience and seamless transaction.
Haven't used box scraper as much as I would like, due to a lot of rain. When I did use it worked like I wanted it to.
Product was fairly priced and they delivered it quickly.

The week before leaving for my mule deer hunt in Wyoming, I seeded the area surrounding the new runway at Wertheimer Airport in Norman. This past Tuesday, I returned to finish the job and was pleased to see that the seed I planted just two weeks earlier was already germinating and coming up nicely. These pictures show the freshly seeded areas alongside those planted two weeks ago. It’s a great comparison and a good example of what proper seedbed preparation and planting can accomplish. I used my Ferminator G-3, which is one impressive piece of equipment. It prepares the seedbed, plants the seed, smooths the soil, and firms everything up for good seed-to-soil contact—all in one efficient operation. I’ve owned and operated several no-till drills over the years, but I can say without hesitation that the Ferminator is the most efficient and versatile seeding machine I’ve ever owned. There’s something pretty satisfying about returning to a job and seeing those first green shoots coming through the ground. That’s when you know your hard work is paying off!

Just got my Buffalo Turbine! Love it. Took a little bit to get used to getting the right angle for the nozzle, but not a problem. Side note, works much better if the frame is level as much as possible. Love it! Gary Haddock
Seems to be in order delivery wasn't able to use lift gate but tractor was able to take pallet off the truck bed. No damage to machine after visual check. won't know how it runs until rain stops. Staff at RippingitOutdoors was very quick to call and double check the type of backet needed for the unit to ensure the online order matched( to fit my skid steer quick attachment on my l2501 Kubota). Explained the teeth & belt could be ordered through them directly over the phone when/if needed as well as selling other types of custom made brackets for Utv's ect. All around Great customer service and would purchase from again.

The Firminator is well built and functions well. I am having some trouble while planting mixed size seeds. Next time out I’ll try setting it so only the smaller seeds drop out the open it up for the larger seeds.
easy buying process and great communication. Mulcher works great, easily clears overgrown brush and even mulched a 5" thick mulberry tree fairly easily. running it off of my old 331 bobcat with no problem powering the drum at all. Only small issue which isn't a big deal is that the supplied hoses are about 16" too short to operate a full range of motion.
The Firmanator works great very well built .I am very happy I made this purchase.

Works excellent and is very well made.
Over all built well. I like it is all cast iron and metal and not plastic. Had to modify fertilizer disc mount to fit correctly, nothing major, a little grinding. I modified the center link hitch point to accommodate my John Deere quick hitch. Have yet to plant with it but I’m sure it will work perfect. Love the grease fittings everywhere. Reminds me of the old farm equipment I grew up on, and still use periodically.
My firminator RT was delivered in good condition in ND. I will be using it next week. I have a 45 HP John Deere tractor that is supposed to lift 2000 lb but really struggles to lift this 6 foot firminator RT. I will just have to use in as a two pass operation for now. I do wish there was a better operating manual for this unit. Maybe that is something you can work on. I will give you an update once I start using it in a few days.
Great piece of equipment. Performs far better than I expected. One piece of advice - if property is significantly overgrown, consider the tractor attachment first to bring down the over growth and then switch to the UTV attachment to maintain property. No complaints worked perfectly.
Ordered a 36” clean out bucket for my mini excavator. Love it, welds are great. Works as it should.
Showed up on time and I will be using it to put in 15 acres of food plots in this weekend!
Very pleased. Product was better than anticipated and is working well. I expect the 2000lb feeders to last at least a decade based on my use with cattle. If feeding wild game would likely last a lifetime with minimal maintenance.

seeds come out way to fast at lowest setting when planting alfalfa literally the only reason I bought it now I can't even use it and I can't return it so I'm stuck with it for the price you pay you would think it would work!
It’s built solid. It handles Field grass hip high pretty well. With the maintaining the field grass after the first cut, the pasture field is starting to look like a lawn. The 84 inch with the best thing to get for 8 acres. It’s best to order belts for back up in the event if the belts were to break. But overall, I like the product quality is good.

Definitely a better unit than you can find locally. I've ran several spreaders. This is by far the best.
When I think of ripping it outdoors something else comes to mind, but I digress. This spreader is awesome. Works like a champ. The hopper is big enough to do my 1 acre lot for my applications. Just load once and go. I would highly recommend this spreader. It saves a ton of time and is a quality product.
