EVO-4248SP 4200W 120/240 VAC Split Phase Inverter/Charger with 60 AMP

Split phase pure sine wave inverter, adaptive battery charger, and transfer relay – ALL in ONE device. Samlex EVOLUTION™ Series Inverter/Chargers provide reliable AC power wherever it’s needed.

This 4200 watt, 120V /240V split phase inverter/charger connects to a standard electrical household panel. When you combine it with a 48V battery bank and a solar system you can run a fully equipped off-grid cabin, a remote mobile construction site, or use it as an emergency backup system.

Intelligently integrates a 60 Amp, 4-stage Battery Charger and a 40 Amp Transfer Relay into an advanced and affordable off-grid power solution. For use with Lead Acid or Lithium-ion batteries.

Optional EVO-RC-PLUS remote control for ease of programming and monitoring.

Features:

120 / 240 VAC Split Phase (Dual Phase)

  • The split-phase inverter connects to the standard household panel to provide both 120 and 240 VAC output power

AC Input

  • One AC input for grid or for generator, no need to reconfigure when the different power source is available.
  • AC input is programmable for voltage and frequency. The user determines what the min and max thresholds are to switch from Grid or Generator to Inverter.
  • Generator start can be initiated by “Status Relay” contact and can be programmed to activate when the grid is lost.

Solar Input

  • Connect a 48V MPPT solar charge controller directly to the EVOTM through the 100 Amp Battery Charger external DC Input, seamlessly integrating solar charging into the EVO’s power system.
  • ONLINE Mode can be used to prioritize Batteries/Inverter over the grid, ideal for those wishing to operate primarily on solar power (when the grid is available but costly).

Battery Charger

  • 3 or 4 stages charging with Equalization (must be manually initiated).
  • An adaptive algorithm is used during Bulk to assess the condition of lead-acid batteries. Subsequent stages are then based on the condition of the battery rather than pre-set time periods for Absorption and Float. Prevents unnecessary charging, and extends the life of batteries.
  • Programmable – set battery voltage thresholds to initiate charging. Specific programmable settings for Lithium-ion batteries.

Transfer Switch

  • Zero transfer time when switching from Inverter to Grid. When the grid comes on, the inverter synchronizes with the waveform and then transfers instantly at zero crossing.
  • <16ms transfer when going from Grid to Inverter. When the grid is lost, the transfer relay switches to the inverter at the correct place in the waveform for no power disruption.

 Surge Capacity (Power Boost)

  • 3X surge power for high surge loads on start-up, such as compressor or refrigerator
  • Additionally, the EVOTM has power overload allowances available for short periods of time. Overload allowances decrease with the length of time. Increased inverter capacity, or “Active Power Boost,” means you can size your inverter smaller to handle heavy surge loads, reducing costs.

 State-of-the-Art Technology

  • The EVOTM operates at 165 million instructions per second producing lightning fast load and response times
  • The EVOTM is practically indestructible. It has “Bullet-Proof Intelligence” in the form of 9 physical points of protection monitoring being scanned up to 10,000 times per second for adverse conditions. The EVOTM will detect fault conditions and initiate a healthy shutdown before any product damage can be done.
  • The EVO-RC-PLUS remote control (sold separately) can be used to capture detailed EVOTM performance data. Records all detected faults and the conditions leading up to them. Data is stored on a removable 32GB SD Card (in the remote). Use data to analyze trends for more efficient use of system resources
  • The EVOTM uses five temperature sensors placed throughout the unit to determine the operation of 2 speed controlled cooling fans. Reduces unnecessary fan noise and energy consumption by only running when and where the fans are needed.

Seems to be in order delivery wasn't able to use lift gate but tractor was able to take pallet off the truck bed. No damage to machine after visual check. won't know how it runs until rain stops. Staff at RippingitOutdoors was very quick to call and double check the type of backet needed for the unit to ensure the online order matched( to fit my skid steer quick attachment on my l2501 Kubota). Explained the teeth & belt could be ordered through them directly over the phone when/if needed as well as selling other types of custom made brackets for Utv's ect. All around Great customer service and would purchase from again.

easy buying process and great communication. Mulcher works great, easily clears overgrown brush and even mulched a 5" thick mulberry tree fairly easily. running it off of my old 331 bobcat with no problem powering the drum at all. Only small issue which isn't a big deal is that the supplied hoses are about 16" too short to operate a full range of motion.

Over all built well. I like it is all cast iron and metal and not plastic. Had to modify fertilizer disc mount to fit correctly, nothing major, a little grinding. I modified the center link hitch point to accommodate my John Deere quick hitch. Have yet to plant with it but I’m sure it will work perfect. Love the grease fittings everywhere. Reminds me of the old farm equipment I grew up on, and still use periodically.

My firminator RT was delivered in good condition in ND. I will be using it next week. I have a 45 HP John Deere tractor that is supposed to lift 2000 lb but really struggles to lift this 6 foot firminator RT. I will just have to use in as a two pass operation for now. I do wish there was a better operating manual for this unit. Maybe that is something you can work on. I will give you an update once I start using it in a few days.

Put this on Kubota 900 with winch hookup. This thing is a beast (within reason). I named it ‘Homie”, cause Homie don’t play. It will take care of stuff up to about 2” in diameter. You still have to remember that this is NOT like the ones on a bobcat or larger machinery. It does have its limits. But all in all I am very satisfied with it. Now on to the good part! The staff at Ripping It are outstanding! Especially Kayla in the office. She has gone above and beyond on making sure everything went right, from ordering to questions about installation. This young lady would be of great value at ANY company ! Her knowledge and personality are like over the top. This is my first experience with Ripping It Outdoors and I can only say positive things about them. With all that being said, I do fill out reviews on things I buy, AND I give a honest review. If it’s bad then you will know it. But if it’s good, well I tell the truth ! Again Kayla, from the bottom of my heart, a great big THANK YOU for all your help and just talking to you. I feel like we’ve know each other for years!

TENT is easy to put up , material is tuff as told....only complaint is that i wish the bottom had about 3 to 4 inches overlap towards the inside so i could install a 2 x4 or something to help hold the tent down in high winds we have here in virginia thanks

These are great feeders if you don’t have any feral hogs but if the hogs tear off the wiring harness from the timer to the feeder motor, you’re disabled. Then, if you ask for help from Outback, they refer you to the dealer but really you’re on your own for parts and repairs. I have three Outback feeders that work as designed. They’re 13 years old and have always served well but this feeder misses the mark by a very high margin. I’d NEVER buy this product again. Feeders need to be dependable and this unit is not.
