DESCRIPTION

The Turbo Turf HS-1000-XPW is a powerful 1000-gallon skid type hydroseeder designed for residential and commercial seeding projects, offering high efficiency and robust performance.

The HS-1000-XPW from Turbo Turf is designed to meet the rigorous demands of hydroseeding professionals, offering powerful performance, durability, and ease of operation. PUMP


 This unit uses a TP4VE centrifugal pump with 662 gallons a minute of flow and 50 P.S.I. of pressure.  This pump was designed specifically for hydro seeding.  This pump is very low maintenance.   There are no grease fittings and the only maintenance required is to winterize if at the end of the season if it is stored where temperatures go below freezing.  The pump impeller mounts on the end of the engine shaft so there is no power loss.   Typically it can operate for 5 to 10 years with no maintenance.  The only thing to be careful of is to not run it dry.

ENGINE


 This unit comes with a 16 H.P. Vanguard Briggs & Stratton engine.  This has proved to be a very reliable engine with a long life.  The engine has a two year warranty and service for the engine is available at any authorized Briggs & Stratton engine dealer.  This unit has a self contained fuel tank.

ENGINE


 This unit comes standard with 100 ft of 1 1/4″ I. D. hose.   The hose we use is both strong and light weight.  It is made from a poly material with a spiral reinforcement.   Additional hose is available in 50 feet or 100 feet sections.  The unit will handle up to 200 feet of hose.

BALE BUSTER

 This unit comes equipped with a bale buster to speed loading.  The bale buster allows you to add mulch in larger chunks and will quickly break them up.  Dry mulch floats on top of the water.  The bale buster takes the full flow of the pump and blows it across the top of the water picking up those chunks of mulch and smashing them against the back of the tank.  Users can add mulch in chunks any size that will fit through the 16″ opening.
 

TRAILER

 The HS-750-P is permanently attached to a DOT approved double axle trailer with brakes on both axles, DOT lighting, a breakaway, safety chains and an on-board test box for the breakaway battery.  The trailer has a GVW of 9990 pounds and is 15’2″ long an 84″ wide.   It is available with either a 2 5/16″ ball hitch or a pintle hitch.

easy buying process and great communication. Mulcher works great, easily clears overgrown brush and even mulched a 5" thick mulberry tree fairly easily. running it off of my old 331 bobcat with no problem powering the drum at all. Only small issue which isn't a big deal is that the supplied hoses are about 16" too short to operate a full range of motion.

Over all built well. I like it is all cast iron and metal and not plastic. Had to modify fertilizer disc mount to fit correctly, nothing major, a little grinding. I modified the center link hitch point to accommodate my John Deere quick hitch. Have yet to plant with it but I’m sure it will work perfect. Love the grease fittings everywhere. Reminds me of the old farm equipment I grew up on, and still use periodically.

My firminator RT was delivered in good condition in ND. I will be using it next week. I have a 45 HP John Deere tractor that is supposed to lift 2000 lb but really struggles to lift this 6 foot firminator RT. I will just have to use in as a two pass operation for now. I do wish there was a better operating manual for this unit. Maybe that is something you can work on. I will give you an update once I start using it in a few days.

Put this on Kubota 900 with winch hookup. This thing is a beast (within reason). I named it ‘Homie”, cause Homie don’t play. It will take care of stuff up to about 2” in diameter. You still have to remember that this is NOT like the ones on a bobcat or larger machinery. It does have its limits. But all in all I am very satisfied with it. Now on to the good part! The staff at Ripping It are outstanding! Especially Kayla in the office. She has gone above and beyond on making sure everything went right, from ordering to questions about installation. This young lady would be of great value at ANY company ! Her knowledge and personality are like over the top. This is my first experience with Ripping It Outdoors and I can only say positive things about them. With all that being said, I do fill out reviews on things I buy, AND I give a honest review. If it’s bad then you will know it. But if it’s good, well I tell the truth ! Again Kayla, from the bottom of my heart, a great big THANK YOU for all your help and just talking to you. These are great feeders if you don’t have any feral hogs but if the hogs tear off the wiring harness from the timer to the feeder motor, you’re disabled. Then, if you ask for help from Outback, they refer you to the dealer but really you’re on your own for parts and repairs. I have three Outback feeders that work as designed. They’re 13 years old and have always served well but this feeder misses the mark by a very high margin. I’d NEVER buy this product again. Feeders need to be dependable and this unit is not.
